Travel hockey games allow for TONS of book editing time...

Another week has come and gone and much has happened both with and without Books 1 & 2 since I last wrote. We drove to Cincinnati to watch Tommy pick up his 1st goal and 2 assists of the season during the preseason placement tourney...we couldn't have been more proud. Anyone interested should visit http://www.bloomingtonblades.org/ to check out our program.

As for the books, the 2.5 hour drive there and back allowed for much reading with the red pen. Scott added his opinions when he felt the need and I am now within 50 pages of the minor editing of Book 1. Once that is complete, I'll begin the dozen or so larger items that need tending to and then FINALLY the query letter can be drafted.

Book 2 has also received several hours of my attention over the week. Another five chapters of editing down....many more to go.

And on the cheer front, Jaicee threw her first standing back tuck without a spotter today.
Rock on!

Much much more seven days from now...

Being a parent first...

Being a parent always comes first...always...and such was the case again this week. Between cheer, football, cheer, hockey, cheer, drum lessons...oh and cheer....I was only able to edit 3 chapters of Book 1, 2 chapters of Book 2.

The good news is there are less than 100 pages of Book 1 left before the creation of the query letter can begin...and then the publisher search can become another large part of my life.

Let's hope that there's time for finding that publisher between all of the above...

Til next time...

Where did the time go?

Five days have passed by with a blink of an eye...

I was only able to edit two chapters of Book 1, four of Book 2 these past 5days. The kid's activities once again trumped my attempts for quiet, uninterrupted work. :) Next week is no less busy...unfortunately....however crazed teachers and parents appear to be calming...and THAT my friends is something to smile about...

Til next time...
